Resumes, interview and communication skills, proper attire, career trends, diversity, budg- eting...it can all be so confusing! To help the future workforce manage through these is- sues and be better prepared for those inter- views and job opportunities, business leaders from around the county are back in the class- room talking to all high school juniors in all
four county high schools.
Board member John Snipes, Snipes Insurance, has assembled numerous business leaders to assist with this Curriculum program. Through the program business leaders visit with high school juniors to offer first-hand guidance on these important skills and topics. Business leaders engage the students in discussions on subjects ranging from proper dress for inter- viewing to dealing with diversity in the work- place. Business leaders are able to relate to the students with actual situations and exam- ples from their own experiences and work environment. Students also gain confidence in
dealing with adults and business people.
